Just a Normal Week in January
We didn't go anywhere this week, which was a good thing, because all the kids ended up with strep throat. Even being sick, they continued to work on their studies.
Reading, writing, and math continue to happen every day. A1 is really into writing a chapter book and J is writing scripts for sketch comedy.
J finished her art class.

Back from Break
While we may have put our math books away for a little while, the kids are always learning. Our mini microscope made a comeback over Christmas break. The kids also played with puzzles, sensory tables, and more.

Canyonlands National Park with Kids
If you love hiking along the edges of cliffs, I highly recommend visiting the Island in the Sky. As a family, we do some pretty crazy hikes, but this park got my heart pumping, and it wasn't always because of the hiking. Every hike began, ended, or went along the edge of a high canyon. (Hence the name Canyonlands) So, if watching your kids run along ledges won't give you a heart attack, here's the few hikes we did with our kids ages 12-4.
