We were going to take spring break the first week in April for Holy Week. A1 and A2 ended up being really sick all that week, so neither school or a break happened. K and J had school off and they ended up having lots of fun without us.
They went to the Museum of Curiosity- which we have no pictures of.
At home, K had fun finding all the things he could create with just 5 Legos, then he moved on to 6 and 7. He created a lot of different things. It was so fun to see him use his imagination. He also drew every letter of the alphabet hidden in an animal following instructions from Art for Kids Hub.

J conducted an experimented with German pancakes to determine if butter or cooking spray made better pancakes. She concluded for flavor and non stick properties, it was best to use both.
By the beginning of this week, the kids were feeling well enough to go to a special Easter walkthrough where you walk the "streets" of Jerusalem, encounter Roman guards, hear the pharisees plotting against Jesus, Pilate washing his hands of Him, and are reminded of the miracles of Jesus.

Then it was back to school for us. It was a little sad not having a break with all the kids together and feeling well. We are looking forward to end the end of public school very much so we can do things together again. (As a reminder, we have 2 kids in public school, one in private preschool, and one homeschooled.)

Math: Four sided figures and tessellations
Language Arts: Reading, writing and typing.
Science: More videos
- Why spider web is stronger than steel: At least orb weaver spiders web is, in some cases, stronger then steel. There is more then one way to tell how strong something is. How much can it be crushed before being smashed or how long can it be stretched before breaking. In some of these tests steel wins, but in some, the web is stronger by a lot. It,s also more flexible than man made fibers. Sadly, we have not found out how to make spider web yet. People do go get spider wed and make it into clothes, but that takes forever. Once it took three whole years for one cape and garment. That's a very long time. ⏰πΈ
- Why we accidently started making infinite robots: Well first, we started making robots with animal parts. All the robots we made were like an animal such as a jelly fish robot that would move like a real one. Then we tried eggs. A special frog egg with parts that had jobs to be exacted . One would become the heart, another lungs, and all the rest of the frog. They took it apart and put it together in a new way and made it into a robot. And it worked. And then when moving around they would push algae around until there was too much and so all the little bots together made some large piles of it. Then we gave them a material that usually was in the frogs and they collected it too! And then... It turned into more of the robots! Ok now the robots they created could reproduce! They last only 10 days or less but, hey, since it can reproduce... Did we make a new animal or is this a robot? Scientist can't decide so it stays a 50% robot and 50% living animal. π€πΈ https://youtu.be/u1l4aXh1UG8?si=u9QDYkvAOWXLSkZc
- Horse Shoe Crab's blue blood is so valuable that just a liter is still $16,000 dollars. To get it they are captured a needle is put into the tissue around the heart to get the blood. After they are done they are released into the wild. 10-30% die but the rest heal after a week. All of our important medical injections need to be tested with horse shoe crab blood t o make sure they don't contain bad bacteria.
Animal Facts about states
Alabama has crocs and you can't wrestle a bear because its illegal and it has a lot of snails and turtles are every where.
Maine is the only place in America the Atlantic puffin can be found and can you tell me what a Maine Coon is?πππ It's the state cat of Maine! Maine has so many lobsters they where considered poor people food. It's illegal to hunt from a moving vehicle.
Missouri has a lot of venomous snakes And over 7000 caves almost more then any other state. It's called the Cave State but Tennessee has more caves.
Arkansas: I am going there now to see a angry croc because I can go grab a few free diamonds on the way, too. Yes, they have a diamond mine that public can go to and get diamonds plus you get to keep them. But it is out matched by Alaska because they give you gold and that's much better. But hey, I'm going there because diamonds don't break so now... I am going to get my mom a "Little Rock" because she wanted one for some reason. πͺ¨⛏π·ππ°π°π°π°π° Did you know it rains diamonds on Neptune.
Michigan: Hey, I thought wolves didn't live in the United States of America! Well I guess they live in Michigan. Now on my trip I need to go to Michigan and Arkansas. Michigan has lots of zoos as well! Diamonds, zoos, crocs, and wolves! This trip is going to be amazing! πΊππ·πΎ

And he had a friend over a couple of days this week for hours since it was their friend's spring break. They played lots of cooperative strategy board games. We call them the Forbidden games: Forbidden Island, Forbidden Dessert, Forbidden Sky, Forbidden Jungle.
