First off, a huge shoutout to A1 for being an amazing student. This week both of his OpenEd Club teachers gave him shoutouts for how kind and respectful he is in their classes. From his chess coach:
(He) deserves a MASSIVE shout-out today! He absolutely crushed it in Chess Tournament Club!
He played an amazing tournament and was just as impressive in the chat—kind, helpful, and constantly lifting others up. He brought skill, sportsmanship, and great energy all at once. Seriously awesome job!

For math, A1 did a review.
Language Arts: Lots of reading, writing, and typing. He wrote a lot about his board game, too. We test played it an couple of times.
Science: More videos on crazy science facts
When Orcas and Humans Hunt Together: You want to hear a story? Ok! Once when people hunted whales on their migration soon they found sneaky orcas did to! Soon one special area got working with the orcas and told his crew not to kill them. The orcas would lead a whale into to area and splash the water with its tail. Next the people would get into boats get out there and harpoon the whale. The orcas ate some and the people got the rest. A long time this faded away but some orcas still did it. One time the person who ran the place saw a orca leading a whale to them. He shot the whale. But a storm was coming and he didn't let the orca eat. So a game of tug a war started between the orca and the boat. And then... One of the orcas tooths fell out. That was usually fatal for a orca. They got the whale. And the person who ran the place knew that an ancient packed had been broken. Later the orcas body washed a shore. The guy felt so bad he made a museum just about orcas which still holds that orcas body today. And now? The orcas may be taking their revenge...
Why do Orcas Keep Sinking Boats? Well you know the story, and that is their best guess. When did it start? Well, once a person was on his boat and then... BOOM! Something large hit the boat. It tore it to shreds. It was an orca pack. He slowly drifted to shore horrified as the orcas kept ramming and tearing at the boat. Soon it kept happening in that area to person after person getting rammed by these huge creatures with sharp teeth that eat sharks! Even huge massive boats have gotten torn and sunk by these animals! Its started to spread boat after boat sinking. No one has gotten attacked. Yet. But they are becoming a bit of a problem...attacks are spreading across a larger range.
Are Allergies a Glitch? Ok imagine, it's summer time, the flowers are out, everything is beautiful and, because of it, you sneeze and hurting throats and stuffy noses! Why! Why hasn't evolution got rid of allergies? Or... Are allergies good? What is going on!? Ok, say you ate a peanut! It had poison on it. You get sick. Now when you eat a perfectly good peanut you get sick. Your immune system is saying, "Hey, I've seen this, this is bad. Get rid of it! The way they fight that gives you the bad symptoms. But wait, what about things like flowers!? Who eats flowers?! Well, the cells in a food may look a lot like a flower and so your immune system mistakes the flower for that food and then bad stuff. So are allergies just that? Well... no. There has to be something more. More we don't know about. But what?... Good bye, for now.

State Animal Facts
Florida is the animal capital of the America! I'm going there because I want to! You can't harass or feed a alligator, it's illegal, but you might be able to feed a croc, that might be legal. Yes, they have both. It's the only place in the world where there is both species. Florida has a lot of invasive species like the Burmese Python. In the crystal river you can swim with manatees. It's one of the state's favorite animals. Florida has a very big cat and it is called the Florida Panther. And when it gets cold, it "rains" iguanas.
Texas has the largest population of wild hogs inn the United States of America, and a giant invasive rodent called the nutria. These species cause a lot of damage every year. Austin has a largest amount of urban bats in North America. On the coast, you can see dolphins and sea turtles.
Iowa has more pigs then people, like 3-7 times more. In fact, it has more live stock than anywhere else on Earth. They have a high population of deer. They have a giant butter cow at the state fair. They hold frog jumping contests. And there are fish that grow to over100 pounds in their rivers. My sister wants everyone to know that Iowa is where Dewey the cat is from.
Wisconsin is where DND was invented and wolves are there and it has more cheese than any other state.
California has the California grizzly bear on its flag but the species is extinct. And tarantulas migrate and there are sidewinder rattlesnakes.
Minnesota. People fish in it. It has animal statues.

- Did you know the bananas we buy in the grocery stores are all radioactive clones of each other?
- Did you know a pound of hamburger from the store contains meat from hundreds of different cows? Even a singe patty from McDonalds can contain meat from up to 1,000 cows.
