Although not as formal, learning still continued over Christmas break.
Before Christmas, A1 had a piano recital. He did very well.

A1 also received a special letter from the office of the Vice President of the United States.
Over the summer, he completed the second lady's reading challenge. In December, he got his certificate. Pretty cool to receive something official from Washington DC.
He, and the rest of the kids, read a lot over Christmas break. We had to visit the library twice even though we maxed out the number of books we could have checked out (50).
J and A1 also created board/card games over Christmas break. We spent most of our time on J's since she has to return to public school, and will continue to refine A1's in the coming weeks.
After Christmas, we traveled to visit all living grandparents and great grandparents and learn some family history.

We also spent some time climbing on big rocks in the desert.

Here, we planted used green onions from the store, and they regrew. |

| Carrots need thinned, again. |
A1 also experimented making donuts over the break. They turned our more cake-like which was perfect to celebrate a birthday.

| Thinking perhaps, if he sits politely we'll feed him some.😸 |

A2 organized pompoms by color using tweezers. The cat supervised.
The kids also did lots of puzzles, board games, and playing outside.
And we enjoy some Christmas magic.
