Week 11: Groundhog Days?

For a third week, it was cold, rainy, and a child was sick. Fortunately, all the kids are on the mend.

We had some sunny days in-between storms, which we used to get outside and play.

Monday was fall break for the other kids. We had games, Legos, and friends come over.
Tuesday, we went back out to the woods to play.
And had Clay Club outdoors with other kids.
Volcano
They also made food, soups, and bowls that really held water.
K also did chess club and space club. Him and A2 made spooky paper bag houses, fall pumpkins, and, he, made edible cookie dough with OpenEd events.
K made a space rover this week with his I Brick.
Him and A1 (who spent some time at home sick) also finished rebuilding our largest Lego set.
With other kids home for fall break and some being sick, it was hard to get as much math and language art done as we wanted. We did basic review of addition subtraction, multiplication and division and started learning about adverbs with a little handwriting, too.
Lastly, we finished reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The kids watched the movie one cold, rainy, afternoon.
