Week 10- Just Doing Our Thing

No fancy quote this week. Just know you're awesome.

Jumping right in:

Science: Nature Notebook and bring out an old crunch labs build.

Also, we've been watching our winter plants start to grow.

LA: Spelling, creative writing, exact path, plus lots of reading. Dad is reading The Hobbit to the kids.

Math: Exact path, a review, and learning to divide things into fractions.

Dividing fractions met the real world when there was four kids who wanted to eat three cupcakes.  A1 was left to figure out how to divide them evenly. 3 cupcakes/4 kids or 3/4 per kid.

History: Did a review and began discussing the Bill of Rights. We also reviewed state geography. For fun, we have been watching Ryan Trahan's 50 States in 50 Days series which also is helping A1 get familiar with the location of states.  One day, I went into the living room to do school and found this:

We had fun finding other ways to do our school work without using the whiteboard for the entire day.

Extra: Piano, chess and engineering club, playing with friends, craft club, building forts, and sharing family history stories.

Craft Club

A2 had story hour where they did a craft.

She did more crafts and painting at home.

And even more at Joy school.  We continue to read and she continues to be as adorable as ever.
