When our kids are between the ages of 8-10, we like to take them on a special trip to some place they choose. J chose to go to Mount Rushmore, A1 went to Seattle, and K chose to explore Legoland.
It was a trip with just him and Dad. On the drive there, K got to see giant sand dunes and giant cacti.
And read a giant box of books.
After last, they made it to California. They spent two days in Legoland and K would have been happy there for 2 more.
They went to the aquarium, too.
They also went to the zoo.
And the beach.
It was a great trip.
