Home Base For Learning: Guess the Magnified Picture

After coming back from camping, we had lessons on sharing, creative play, and fine motor skills.

K updated our calendar. We noticed he was having a hard time remembering days of the week. Putting him in charge of the calendar has really helped him understand the days of the week and month. Plus, he gets a lesson in responsibility. He loves that it's his calendar to take care of.

We are making art a priority. This week, we did wax paintings. You color designs with a white crayon and paint over it with water color.

A1 also used our white board to make a Seek and Find Minecraft Obsidian World.

K and A2 played with play dough.

On Saturday, A1 and J had lots of friend time, while K and A2 helped me harvest some of our carrots from the garden. They are so beautiful.

It's amazing what kids will learn and discover when we get out of their way and just let them play and explore. K has really taken to our small hand held magnifier. When I downloaded the pictures, there was over 350 with him still begging to find more things to magnify. See if you can guess what these are.
