Week 36

Science (part 1)- Over the past couple weeks, we've been watching our orchid bloom.

 


Math- Rounding, multiplying, and dividing decimals for J, money subtraction for A

LA- Onomatopoeias, antonyms and synonyms, meaning of common sayings

Social Studies- Physical features of United States, for A oceans and continents

Art- Circle drawings



Exploring Tech- Crunch Lab- floating ball

The best lessons are the ones where you can incorporate many subjects into one activity. For this week's, science/ PE/ Social studies, we joined our cousins and did some hiking in Canyonlands.

This little guy had no hesitation in leading the group up the ladders.





After Canyonlands we stopped by "The Falls"
 





We were told the red in the rock is fossils

Took some time to climb on Hamburger Rock





Saw a lizard

The next day our tour guide (AKA Grandpa) showed us some special petroglyphs. The kids did a great job following instructions to treat them with respect.
